Constitution of SPNIWCD
National Institute of Public Cooperation and Child Development (SPNIWCD), erstwhile known as Central Institute of Research and Training in Public Cooperation (under the Societies Registration Act XXI, 1860), under the aegis of Planning Commission, was established on 28 February, 1966 to promote voluntary action in social development. The Constitution of SPNIWCD consist of Memorandum of Association alongwith its signatories. It also consist of Objectives and Rules & Regulations for the Institute. The Institute has two main authorities/constitutional bodies viz, the General Body and the Executive Council. While the General Body is responsible for formulating overall policies of the Institute, the Executive Council is responsible for management and administration of the Institute. Both these bodies have representation of government, civil society and voluntary organisation. The Constitution details out the composition of Executive Council and General Body, the term of office, meetings to be held alongwith powers & functions of both the authorities.
