About the Course
One Year Regular Fulltime Professional Development Course: 56 Credits Certified by Rehabilitation Council of India Since 2005.
Provides professional and personal growth opportunities for those wanting to work with children and child-related systems to help children actualize their potential.
Eligibility: Post Graduation in Social Work, Psychology, Education, Human Development, Community Resource Management, Development, Nursing, Communication Extension, Special Education from Recognized University.

Upon completion, the student acquires certification by RCI as a Rehabilitation Counsellor, who is a trained mental health professional to provide psychological support to individuals with physical, emotional, or cognitive disabilities, to regain independence and improve their overall quality of life. They are also trained to execute preventive and promotive mental health activities. They can work with children, families, caregivers, and school personnel in various child-related systems including schools, childcare institutions, hospitals, rehabilitation centres, government, non-governmental agencies, and also in private settings.

Adolescent Guidance Service Centre offers to young adults falling within the age range of 12 to 19 years, comprehensive diagnostic and counseling services by a qualified team of professionals, comprising counselors, clinical psychologists, social workers, and psychiatrists. The adolescents who have specific difficulties in learning and behaviour or who have mental health problems like anxiety, depression, examination stress etc. can approach the Centre for assessment and counselling.
